lyrics

No Reason to Lie: I should not think when I cannot speak. I can barely breathe and I can’t sleep. But everybody is in the same dream; all numb and stretched out, can’t wake up and can’t scream. But we all need food and we all need air. We all want to feel like we belong somewhere. And we’ve all been lied to; we’ve all been untrue. Now it’s crazy for everyone. I think we should stop! Climb to the top of the mountain; look over the horizon. What can you see? Is it coming in waves; coming over the horizon? You can believe what I’m saying; cause I’ve got no reason to lie... I can’t run and I can’t hide from the clamor all around us and what I feel inside. We forget to remember what we have chosen to ignore; cause we shut down our brains when we can’t take it anymore. But I don’t want to run and I don’t want to hide. Want to face this together, if just this one time, stop! Climb to the top of the mountain; look over the horizon. What can you see? Is it coming in waves; coming over the horizon? I can believe what you say, if you’ve got no reason to lie... Is there anything; is there anyone that can make sense to everybody? And what are the truths that we share at the heart of the matter? Was it always here, will it always be; the madness borne of our insecurities? But while we can still think, while we can still see; we can dig in together, feel the earth on our knees. Feel the dirt under my fingernails; the lines on my face and my toes. I think what I’m trying to say here, everybody already knows... Climb to the top of the mountain; look over the horizon. What can we see? Is it coming in waves; coming over the horizon? We can believe what we say; if we’ve got no reason to lie...
